World Travel Photo Essay Part 1

Nice, France native, photographer and world traveller Clémentine Schneidermann shares some of her favourite images she has captured from around the world.

From all the trips I made, the best one were when I was too little to take any picture. From California, Virginia, Florida, Canada, Indonesia, Senegal, Martinique or Turkey, I only kept perfumes, sounds and sometimes some material memories.

Since I discovered photography, I haven’t travelled as much as during my childhood, and my pictures are never very satisfactory. I wonder if the best travels are the one without any pictures, but only few traces, the visa stamp in the passport, the anti-mosquito spray bought in a hurry, the postcard we bought but we never sent, or the dress we bought but we won’t wear because we look ridiculous.

Here are some snapshots made during these last few years, between my home towns (Paris and Nice), Berlin, Mexico and Scotland.
